VS.
This is the end. This is the death of the flies. The end of the diaries. The falling apart of an era.
Say goodbye to the blog.
Not really.
We'll blog through college. And beyond, I'm sure.
But we won't be together.
Sad, isn't it?
I move out in one week.
ONE WEEK.
Honestly, I'm pumped. SO EXCITED.
It's a new dawn! A new day! A new life for me. And I'm feeling good.
But. At the very same time. I'm terrified. And sad.
But I'm going to the school that is more my style than any others in Utah, I feel. And it will be a wonderful experience, I'm sure.
Hanny Bananny will be all the way in Provo. And I'll be all the way in Salt Lake.
And I'm going to miss her a lot.

First week of college. Hannah and I. Walking to classes, textbooks in hand, in two different cities, at the exact same time.

But that's only the first week.
We'll both warm up to college. And both grow to love our experiences. And have the time of our lives.
I know it.
And as scary as it might be at first....
I can't wait.

ReplyDeleteMy piece of advice, is when you make new friends (which you will), make sure you still make as much time to stay in contact with one another. Trust me, it's very important. And make a phone call when you can before a text or an e-mail. It's much more personal that way. Always a phone call first.

hahaha i feel ya on this one. i'm leaving my best friends and heading three hours south. but i absolutely love the illustration.
ReplyDeleteso i don't really know you at all. in fact, i just started following your blog. but you are quite brilliant. you and hannah both. i attend the U, and i felt the same thing about my friends last year when i moved up to salt lake and everyone i knew went somewhere else. but i promise it will be great. lots of learning, on and off campus, and that's what life is best for; learning.
